The Jewish Center Inc.

Community Resources

The Jewish Center Inc. works in the community in various volunteer capacities, including but not limited to the following organized programs:

A) Our volunteers conduct mivtzoyim (campaigns) on the holidays and at other times in our community and elsewhere. Please contact us via our home page (the form at the bottom) regarding these or other programs.

B) Our volunteers search for and fulfill needs relating to the mitzva of bikur cholim (visiting the sick) owing in part to our close proximity to three major healthcare centers (Northside Hospital, Emory Healthcare St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite) and multiple assisted living facilities and retirement communities. In particular, our volunteers assist in visitation at any time, delivery of kosher meals, and other activities (e.g., shofar blowing on Rosh Hashanah, visits with the lulav and esrog on Sukkos, etc.). Please contact us to request visitation, kosher meals, or other services at any of the area retirement homes, assisted living facilities, and/or hospitals.

C) The Jewish Center offers free no-frills Shabbos and Holiday services various times throughout the year. Please contact if you are interested in joining us for Shabbos services.

D) The Jewish Center operates a holiday needs campaign giving holiday assistance to needy families in our community and elsewhere. Please contact us via our contact form linked to on our home page (at the bottom) regarding these or other programs.

E) The Jewish Center offers learning opportunities (one-on-one learning opportunities, bar/bat mitzvah classes, etc.). Please contact us via our home page (the form at the bottom) regarding these or other programs.

F) The Jewish Center offers grocery assistance in the way of grocery gift cards and distribution of produce to needy individuals and families. If someone you know of would benefit from our grocery assistance project, please let us know.

Please contact us via our contact form (linked to on our home page at the bottom) regarding these or other programs.
